Thankful.

As we come upon another Thanksgiving, we ask ourselves about the things for which we are thankful.

As the years pass, I find “my” things are different than they used to be.  You, too?

The simplest things mean the most.

I’m thankful that I’ve had, and have, an amazing family.  People with hearts of gold.  People upon whom I can depend 24/7.  People who you will be there through the good and bad…cuz we all have some of each.

I’m thankful for my friends.  Old friends and new friends.  Some who go “way” back, able to reminisce and giggle about things just by uttering a word or two.  New ones that I’ve just recently met.  And even some that I’ve NEVER met…thank you, virtual world of Facebook and Twitter.

I’m thankful for my health.  While we all have grouncy days where we gripe and moan, we’re probably able to list at least ten other folks who aren’t as lucky as we are.

I’m thankful for my business.  Every client who has made the choice to be on board with our agency has flipped the switch to a million neon lights of delight in my world.  We will always work hard to serve each one, knowing that the best way to grow is by word of mouth.  We’re fortunate to be able to call our clients our friends.  The last 12 years have been more than I ever expected or dreamed.

I’m thankful for my country.  I appreciate every man or woman who has sacrificed everything to allow us to enjoy the kind of freedom we do.   There are lots of pretty “postcard” destinations, but I’m proud to call this country my home.

I’m also thankful for my God.  Knowing I have a direct line at any time means the world to me.  Knowing that I’m not alone.  Knowing that there’s a greater plan than mine already in the works is crazy splendid.  Knowing that He will take care of me is a good thing.  A very good thing.

I want to know…for what are you most thankful this Thanksgiving 2010?
